Introduction
My life was torture growing up.
Complete and utter torture.
I lacked even the most basic social skills and was considered weird, due to simply sitting in silence staring at people at school, then during play time I'd spin round on a circle on my own.
I had no friends at school and was constantly bullied (both during primary & secondary school). I also encountered many other problems throughout my life which contributed to bouts of major depression, but it wasn't until I was in my 20's that my family finally realised I pretty much ticked every box for Aspergers.
By then it was too late to be very helpful...I'd finally learnt how to act relatively normal so that people don't consider me as weird as people did when I was little and I've learnt from experience how to deal with my problems better than I used to, so mostly it was just a relief to finally understand why so many things came so easily to everyone else but were extremely difficult for me.
It really upsets me knowing I could have had help as a child if I'd been diagnosed with Aspergers, but instead all my teachers, family etc apparently just ignored the pretty obvious problems I had and I was left to cope with everything on my own.
Soooooo.....
I decided to start this blog because I hate to think of anyone else suffering the way I did. I want to write about my experiences (and some information about Aspergers) to hopefully help raise awareness & hopefully people will be more likely to notice when a child is showing signs of Aspergers. Also, I wanted to share my experiences so anyone else who grew up with undiagnosed Aspergers will know they're not alone.

I doubt many people will bother to read this, but even if 1 person reads this and finds it helpful in some way I'll be happy.
Please tell people about this blog to help raise awareness
